EYES
The sensory nerve system includes the human eye as one of its organs of perception. We can see due to the action of our eyes. Our eye has many parts are assembled together to concentrate on objects and communicate visual to our brain. Changes in vision can result from a number of illnesses and injuries. Significant visual loss may result from certain illnesses. Get routine eye checkups and maintain good general health to maintain the health of our eyes. Weight control, eat a healthy diet, and avoid from smoking, which can hurt the eyes. Always use safety glasses to prevent injuries, especially when playing contact sports or working with equipment that could inflict eye injuries (welding, metalwork, woodworking, etc).
"PARTS OF THE EYE"
All of the visual systems function in a delicate balance due to the complicated eye structure. The eye is split into several components.
"Front of the Eye"
If you move your face at the front of a mirror, you will be seeing the inside of the eye. They are the ones that follow:
1.Iris
2.Pupil
3.Cornea
4.Sclera
5.Conjunctiva
6.Limbus
The moist membrane that borders the surface of the eye and the eyelid is called the conjunctiva. The conjunctiva of a healthy eye is transparent and colourless.
2.IRIS:
The coloured portion of your eye is called the iris. The iris is the region that is grey, blue, or brown and surrounds the pupil. The tiny, black aperture that allows light into your eye, the pupil, is controlled by muscles in your iris. The iris shrinks the pupil to block out intense light when it is present. Additionally, the iris widens the pupil to let in more light when it is dark.
3.PUPIL:
The pupil is the central opening of the iris on the inside of the eye, which normally appears black.
The area of the eye known as the "white" is called the sclera. It is continuous with the transparent cornea and serves as the eyeball's retaining wall. The sclera acts as the eyeball's concrete barrier. It defends your eyeball from harm and aids in maintaining its shape.
5.CORNEA: The transparent tissue protecting the front of your eye is called the cornea. Your cornea acts as a protective glass that lets light into your eye and focus on your retina, much like the crystal on a watch or the windshield on a car. In order to have clear eyesight, the cornea must remain clear.
The cornea is made up of three primary layers:
1.Epithelium
2.Stroma
3.Endothelium
6.LIMBUS: The limbus is where cuts are made during cataract and glaucoma surgery, where the aqueous humour outflow routes are located, and where the transparent cornea and opaque sclera meet.
